You want to go home at night and the last tram or bus has just left? Then take one of the six night buses.
The night buses leave from the centre of The Hague and run right through to the small hours to Scheveningen, Leidschendam, Rijswijk, Ypenburg, Voorschoten, Wassenaar, Leidschenveen, Nootdorp and Delft. The buses and stops can be recognised by the numbers N1 through to N6. The buses leave from the Buitenhof stop, near Café Dudok.
When do the night buses run and where do they go to?
The night buses run every hour on Friday and Saturday nights from 01:00 to 05:00 hours. Click here to see the map of night bus routes.

Night bus ticket
A ticket for the night bus costs € 5 and can be paid for in the following ways:
- Travel and pay with the OV-chipkaart: check in and out with your OV-chipkaart. You pay a fixed amount of €5. You can use both an anonymous or a personal OV-chipkaart
- Buy a ticket using the HTM Ticket app: download the HTM Ticket app on your smartphone. Buy an HTM night bus ticket here with your credit card or iDeal. The tickets can only be bought on Fridays and Saturdays using the HTM Ticket app. The ticket is only valid on the day of purchase.
- Buy a ticket at the driver: pay by bank card or credit card.
You can change buses with a transfer ticket!
Changing buses onto other night bus lines and on the Arriva night bus number 800 between Zoetermeer and Leiden is allowed. Ask the bus driver for a transfer ticket and show it on the next night bus. Don't check in again with the OV-chipkaart, otherwise you will pay € 5 again.
