Measures in relation to Corona (COVID-19)

As of Monday 23rd of March HTM will further reduce the public transportation services.

We will continue to do our utmost to guarantee that everyone can count on public transportation services in this coming period. We will also do our utmost to keep our employees healthy and fit under these difficult circumstances. We have seen a drastic decrease in the number of passengers due to the advice and measures that the RIVM has given in relation to COVID-19. With the re-adjustment of our services we will still be able to offer sufficient capacity for all passengers, while taking into regard the measures of social distancing. Besides that, it is also important that we take responsibility for the wellbeing of our employees. 

As of Monday 16th of March HTM has implemented an adjusted timetable due to the measures of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the National government (Rijksoverheid) in relation to COVID-19.

As from Monday 23rd of March HTM will further reduce its public transportation services. Check the adjusted timetable or plan your journey.

On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday bus 25 and tram 6 and 12 will no longer drive past the Haagse Markt. Check the adjusted timetable for more information.

Doors will open automatically
Trams and buses will stop at each stop. The tram or busdriver will open all doors. Please do not use the buttons for opening the doors or to stop at a tram or busstop.

Prevent getting infected when traveling with tram or bus
When traveling with tram or bus, please act conform the measures of the RIVM.

  • Keep a distance of 1 to 2 meters (two arm lengths) away from each other to protect yourself and others,
  • cough and sneeze on the inside of your elbow,
  • use paper tissues,
  • do not shake hands and wash your hands with soap regularly, also after having travelled with tram or bus.

Ticket control
Our employees will ask you to present your ticket yourself in front of the terminal during a ticket check. Our security employees and OV stewards will not take the tickets themselves.

When purchasing a ticket in one of our OV-service shops, please pay by debit card. It is of course possible to pay cash if there is no other option. We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for your understanding.
