Digital halt display

In 2019, HTM launched a pilot with a new digital stop display at the Conradkade stop.

Travellers like knowing how long they have to wait. Currently, HTM already uses digital displays at stops where there are many passengers. This system works well but requires power supply and space. And that is not available everywhere. The trial with the new digital bus stop display is meant to see if it works in places where there are no digital displays at the moment.

The new display works entirely on solar cells and does not need an external power supply like the current digital display. HTM is testing at the Conradkade stop what passengers think of this. MRDH is funding the trial as part of travel information improvements. RET is conducting a similar pilot in Rotterdam.

The new display shows the following information:

  • Current time to arrival and departure in minutes --> number of minutes to departure
  • Route
  • Stop departure times
  • Notification of any scheduled and current disruptions.
