When does my ticket go into effect?

A one-day pass, Children’s One-Day Pass, and 3-day pass are activated immediately upon purchase. Therefore, you should only buy these tickets on the day you plan to travel. You activate a 2-hour pass yourself in the app, just before boarding. The 2 hours are valid from that moment on.

Can I share my ticket with someone else?

No, a ticket cannot be shared. Each passenger must have their own valid ticket. However, you may purchase multiple tickets and save them in a single HTM app—for example, for your family or travel group. In that case, you must all travel together.

Can I use a screenshot of my ticket?

No. A screenshot, photo, or copy of a ticket is not valid. Always open the active ticket in the HTM app. The inspector will check the moving parts and the barcode on the ticket.

Can I buy tickets for more than one person?

Yes. You can buy tickets for multiple people in a single HTM app. Make sure each traveler has their own active ticket. The entire group must stay together during the trip, because all the tickets are on the same phone.

Where can I travel with a ticket from the HTM app?

With an HTM ticket, you can ride HTM’s trams and buses. The type of ticket you need depends on how long you plan to travel. Check the ticket’s validity before purchasing it. An HTM ticket is not valid on other transit systems, such as NS, RET, or EBS.

Are the departure times in the app up to date?

The app displays the expected departure times for trams and buses whenever possible. This way, you can see, for example, if a vehicle is leaving later than scheduled. Always check the app again right before you start your trip. Conditions can change while you’re traveling.

You can set up notifications for lines you use frequently. Open the line overview, select a line, and tap the bell icon. Then choose when you want to receive notifications. You can adjust or turn off the notifications later in the same place.
