HTM expects many travelers to Scheveningen

Very nice summer weather is predicted for the next few days. HTM expects many travelers who want to go to the coast. Especially towards Scheveningen extra traffic is expected on trams 1 and 9 and busses 21 and 23. Extra trams are deployed on line 9, the so-called Strandexpress. This runs from Hollands Spoor station via Den Haag Centraal station in one go to Scheveningen.

Additional measures at Scheveningen
On Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June from 3 p.m. onwards:
- tram 1 and 9 towards Scheveningen Noord will not stop at Kurhaus stop. These will continue to the Zwarte Pad stop. There travelers can get off for their visit to Scheveningen.
- tram 1 and 9 and bus 21 and 23 from Scheveningen Noord do not stop at stop Zwarte Pad. These will continue to the Kurhaus stop (streetcar) and Kurhausweg stop (bus), where travelers can board on their way home.

HTM is deploying extra staff at the stops to help travelers on their way.

Other public transport towards the coast
Scheveningen Zuiderstrand and Kijkduin are also easily accessible by tram or bus. For example, take tram 11, 12 and bus 22, 28 to Zuiderstrand. Or visit Kijkduin beach with bus 23, 24 or 26.
