Life I Live Festival Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 17:00 hours

Sunday, April 26, at 17:00 hours The Hague city centre will be closed to traffic during the Life I Live Festival. HTM will deploy extra buses to the festival and trams 1, 15, 16, 17 and bus 22, 24 and 28 will have a detour. The Grote Markt stop will be closed from about 19:00 hours due to the crowds. During the night until 05:00, night buses will run every half hour to destinations in The Hague and surrounding areas. Plan your trip in advance for the correct departure times and routes and enjoy a nice trip there and back to the festive Life I Live Festival.

Grote Markt stop closed
The Grote Markt stop will be closed from about 19:00 hours due to the crowds. Tram 2, 3, 4 and 6 will not stop from 19:00 hours at Grote Markt stop.

  • Make use of Brouwersgracht or Spui stops after 19:00 hours.

Tram 1 from 17:00 hours only has services from Delft to Station Hollands Spoor and via Rijswijkseplein and Weteringplein towards Centraal Station and the route of tram 9 towards Kurhaus stop en terminus Scheveningen Noord.

Tram 1 does not stop at Bierkade, Centrum, Kneuterdijk, Mauritskade, Vredespaleis, Adriaan Goekooplaan, World Forum, Frankenslag, Duinstraat, Keizerstraat, Badhuiskade en Scheveningseslag/Beelden aan Zee stops.

  • Bus 22, 24 en 28 from Centraal Station stop at Mauritskade and Javastraat stops. Kneuterdijk stop is at 6 minutes walk from Mauritskade stop.
  • Bus 24 en 28 stop at Vredespaleis stop;. Adriaan Goekooplaan stop is at 13 minutes walk from Vredespaleis stop.
  • Bus 28 stopt bij halte World Forum. Die ligt op ongeveer 8 minuten lopen van de halte World Forum van tram 1.
  • Bus 22 stops at Scheveningseslag/Beelden aan Zee, Badhuiskade and Keizerstraat stops. Keizerstraat stop is at 4 minutes wallk from Duinstraat stop.
  • From Bierkade stop use tram 9 towards Scheveningen. Transfer at Centraal Station to busses for the stops that are not in use on the route of tram 1.
  • From Centrum stop, trafel from Spui stop with tram 2, 3, 4 of 6 to Centraal Station and transsfer tot tram 1 of 9 for Scheveningen. Or transfer at Centraal Station to busses for the stops that are not in use on the route of tram 1.

Tram 9 has normal services from 17:00 hours but has een extra stop at CS/Schedeldoekshaven for an easy transfer from tram 9 to tram 15 or 16 that depart from the CS/Schedeldoekshaven stop.

Tram 15 has services from 17:00 hours from Nootdorp to Waldorpstraat/Station HS stop and via Rijswijkseplein, Weteringplein for terminus CS/Schedeldoekshaven. From CS/Schedeldoekshaven tram 15 direction Nootdorp departs via Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis, Bierkade and Waldorpstraat/Station HS stops.

Tram 15 doe not stop at Centrum, Buitenhof, Korte Voorhout, Centraal Station stops and direction Centraal Station also not at Bierkade stop.

  • Make use of CS/Schedeldoekshaven stop.
  • From Bierkade stop tram 16 has services for CS/Schedeldoekshaven.

Tram 16 has services from 17:00 hours fromt Wateringen tot halte Station Hollands Spoor and via Bierkade and Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis stop for terminus CS/Schedeldoekshaven. Frome CS/Schedeldoekshaven tram 16 direction Watering departs via Weteringplein, Rijswijkseplein and Station Hollands Spoor stops.

Tram 16 does not stop at Centraal Station and tram 16 direction Wateringen also does not stop at Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis and Bierkade stops.

  • Make use of CS/Schedeldoekshaven or Station Hollands Spoor stops.
  • From Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis or Bierkade stops trafel with tram 9 to Station Hollands Spoor stop and transfer to tram16 directiont Wateringen.

Tram 17 has a detour form 17:00 hours between Leeghwaterplein and Obrechtstraat stops via the route of tram 11 and 3. Tram 17 stops at Elandstraat and Van Speijkstraat from tram 3.

Tram 17 doe not stop at Station Hollands Spoor, Rijswijkseplein, Weteringplein, Centraal Station, Korte Voorhout, Buitenhof, Gravenstraat, Torenstraat, Elandstraat, and Zoutmanstraat stops.

  • Direction Station Hollands Spoor, Rijswijkseplein, Weteringplein and Centraal Station make use of tram 1 or 16 from Leeghwaterplein stop. Or Jacob Catsstraat  stop  (temporary tram 17 stop) with tram 9 direction Scheveningen Noord.
  • Korte Voorhout stop is near Malieveld stop  take tram 1 or 9.
  • For Centraal Station stop take tram 1 or 16.
  • Zoutmanstraat stop is near Obrechtstraat tram 17 stop.
  • Buitenhof, Gravenstraat, Torenstraat and Elandstraat make use of tram 3. Tram 17 stops at Elandstraat adn Van Speijkstraat tram 3 stops.
  • Buitenhof and Gravenstraat stops are nearest to Spui tram 3 stop.
  • Torenstraat stop is nearest to Grote Markt tram 3 stop. Take care this stop is close after 19.00 uur. In that case use Brouwersgracht tram 3 stop.

Bus 22, 24 and 28 have a detour form 17:00 hours between Centraal Station and Mauritskade stops.

Bus 22, 24 and 28 don't stop at Nieuwe Haven, Centrum and Kneuterdijk stops.

  • Make use of tram 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 for destinations in the centrum of The Hague.
  • For Kneuterdijk make use of Mauritskade stop at a 6 minutes walk.
  • For Centrum or Nieuwe Haven stops use Centraal Station stop at a 10 minuten walk. Or take tram 2, 3, 4 or 6 from Spui stop for Centraal Station stop.

Nightbusses N1, N2, N3, N4, N5 en N6
The nightbusse have services every 30 minuten from 01:00 until 05:00 hours from Centraal Station busplatform. Check the routes on the map or see the separate routes per nightbus N1, N2, N3, N4, N5 or N6.

Changes in the routes:
Every nightbus does not stop at Centraal Station in the Rijnstraat and Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis stops bus depart form Centraal Station busplatform.

Nachtbus 1 also does not stop at Ternoot stop. 
Nachtbus 3 also does not stop at Kneuterdijk stop.
Nachtbus 4 also does not stop Grote Markt stop.
