Track and Paving Work at Rijswijkseplein (Update: June 15)

In early June, HTM and the City of The Hague began extensive and long-term track and paving work on and around Rijswijkseplein in The Hague. All trams passing through Hollands Spoor Station will be rerouted in three separate phases.

Railway construction work

Phase 1: Thursday, June 4 through Friday, July 17
DuringPhase1, work will be carried out on the tracks near the Zieken. All trams traveling into the city from Hollands Spoor station will be rerouted via Weteringkade and Lekstraat. As a result, some stops will be skipped in one direction. Trams will temporarily stop at other stops along the route. Hollands Spoor and The Hague Central stations will remain easily accessible. Check the map for the routes of trams 1, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 during Phase 1.

Phase 2: Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, August 16
InPhase 2, work will be carried out on the tram tracks between Hofwijckstraat and De Haagse Toren on Stationsplein. Trams entering the city from Parallelweg and Rijswijkseweg will follow a modified route via Laakkade and Rijswijkseweg. Tram 11 will operate on a shortened route between Scheveningen Haven and the Wouwermansstraat stop. Trams entering the city from Parallelweg and Rijswijkseweg will be rerouted via Laakkade and Rijswijkseweg. As a result, some stops will be skipped. Alternative stops have been set up. The Hague Central Station remains easily accessible, but please allow for extra travel time if your destination is The Hague Central Station.
