Update June 23 - Tram and bus during NATO summit

In the run-up to and during the NATO Summit, buses and trams in the vicinity of the World Forum are running a modified route. A number of roads and intersections are closed which means HTM will not be able to call at some stops or will temporarily not be able to run the regular route. There will be changes for trams 1, 10, 17 and bus 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28.

Bus 21, 24 and 28 - through Saturday, July 12

Through Saturday, July 12, there will be a detour for these buses around the World Forum. Replacement bus stops have been established.

Bus 21 - cancelled stops

  • Cornelis de Wittlaan only in the direction of Scheveningen Noord
  • Art museum
  • Statenplein
  • Frederik Hendriklaan

Temporary stops World Forum towards Scheveningen on Valeriusstraat, Willem de Zwijgerlaan (on Van Boetzelaerlaan) and Frederik Hendriklaan on Statenlaan.

Bus 24 - cancelled stops

  • Art museum
  • Cornelis de Wittlaan only in the direction of Kijkduin

Bus 22, 23, 24 and 28 - June 23 to June 25

In addition to the detour mentioned above, these buses will have additional detour. See the timetable for this.

Bus 28 - Sunday, July 13 through Saturday, August 4

Until August 4, bus 28 will not be able to run over Eisenhower Avenue. Bus 28 will follow the route of bus 24 from the Vredespaleis bus stop to the Kunstmuseumbus stop and from there to the Statenplein bus stop and continue its normal route along Statenlaan. Bus 28 will not stop at the World Forum stop until August 4.

Tram 1 and 17 - Monday, June 23 until Thursday, June 26

Tram 1 runs from stop Centrum via the route of tram 17 to Statenkwartier and on to terminus Scheveningen-Noord.

There will be a temporary World Forum tramstop on Stadhouderslaan (about 300 m) near Stadhoudersplantsoen.

Streetcar 10 - Monday, June 23 until Thursday, June 26

Tram 10 will run from Vrederust to the Centrum stop and return to Vrederust via the Grote Kerk.

No detour during Johan de Wittlaan closure

Bus 21, 24, 28 and HTM's streetcar 1, 10 and 17 will run the normal route during the Johan de Wittlaan closure in The Hague. Due to preparations for the NATO summit, the Johan de Wittlaan will be closed in both directions between Eisenhowerlaan and the beginning of President Kennedylaan from April 14 to early August 2025.
