HTM modifies its timetable

From Monday 7 November, HTM is modifying the timetable for Trams 2 and 17. The October modifications to the timetable for Trams 1, 6 and 12 will be put back. Particularly on Trams 1 and 6, the number of passengers is high, and it's too busy on the trams. Based on the availability of tram drivers and the number of passengers, the frequency of Trams 2 and 17 is going down a little. This slight change is needed to let us keep running a reliable service.

From 7 November

  • Tram 1
    • On Monday to Friday, the frequency will go up from 5 to 6 trams an hour, and in the evening after 21:00, from 3 to 4 trams an hour.
    • Saturday during the day, the frequency will go up from 5 to 6 trams an hour, and in the evening after 21:00, from 3 to 4 trams an hour.
    • On Sunday in the morning before 10:00, and in the evening after 21:00, the frequency will go up from 3 to 4 trams an hour, and during the day from 5 to 6 trams an hour.

    • On Monday to Friday during rush hour, the frequency will go down from 12 times an hour (5x Kraayenstein-Leidschendam, 5x Kraayenstein-The Hague Central) to 10 trams an hour.
    • On Monday to Friday in the off-peak hours, the frequency will go down to 5 trams an hour rather than 6.
  • Tram 6
    • On Monday to Friday, the frequency will go up from 5 to 6 trams an hour.
    • On Saturday during the day, the frequency will go up from 6 to 7 trams an hour, and in the evening after 21:00, from 3 to 4 trams an hour.

Also, from Monday 7 November, there will be a number of changes:

  • Tram 11 will run the normal route again. The works around Statenlaan and Doornstraat are nearly finished so the tram can run again. The replacement Bus 61 will not run from 7 November.
  • The temporary stop for Tram 17 towards the Kunstmuseum on Cornelis de Wittlaan will go out of use from 7 November. Passengers can get on and off at the Kunstmuseum start/end point.
