New tracks and stops for tram 1

31 Aug, 2020

21 Feb, 2021

The tram 1 route between Scheveningen Noord and Delft Tanthof will be adapted for the introduction of the new low-floor trams. There will also be new stops that meet the accessibility needs: everyone must be able to travel independently on the tram!

The route will be adapted in different phases. Last year, the section along Scheveningseweg was upgraded; it is now the turn of two other sections. As of Monday, 31 August, HTM will be working on the tracks on Gevers Deynootweg and Jurriaan Kokstraat in Scheveningen. At the same time, the tracks on Alexanderstraat and Parkstraat in the centre of The Hague will be worked on.

The works will affect tram 1 and buses 22, 24 and 28 and will take until Februaryi 2021.

Different routes

During the works, tram 1 will not run between the Kneuterdijk stop and its destination, Scheveningen Noord. There will be buses instead.

Due to the works in the city centre, buses will not be able to use Parkstraat and Alexanderstraat. Buses 22, 24 and 28 will run different routes via Zeestraat and Anna Paulownastraat.

Due to the works in Scheveningen, bus 22 will also run a different route there via Stevinstraat, Haringkade and other streets.

We will keep this information up to date.

Visit www.denhaag.nl/lijn1 for information about the works and the effects on access by other means of transport.
