HTM 20% Off

HTM 20% Discount is a travel product that gives you a 20% discount on the fare for trips on HTM trams and buses, with the exception of the HTM Night Bus. If you are eligible for a senior discount, the 20% discount is calculated based on the fare that already includes the senior discount.

General

• The discount applies to trips made with a public transit pass or a debit card.
• You can link the HTM 20% Discount to one pass of your choice.
• You are responsible for the use of the pass to which the HTM 20% Discount is linked.
• If your pass is replaced, you must link the travel product to your new pass again.

• Are you eligible for an age-based discount? If so, you’ll receive a 20% discount on the reduced fare that already includes the age-based discount. At HTM, the age discount applies only to travelers aged 4 through 11 who have added the age discount to their pass. For more information on adding the age discount to your pass, visit www.ovpay.nl.
• If your pass includes multiple travel products, one travel product will automatically be applied per trip. HTM cannot guarantee that this will always be the most cost-effective option. We recommend that you check for any overlap between travel products and avoid it whenever possible.

Purchase

• You can easily purchase the HTM 20% Discount at htm.nl or at one of the HTM Service Shops. You can choose between a one-time monthly product or a recurring subscription. You always pay for the HTM 20% Discount in advance at the start of each monthly period. For more information, see our General Ordering and Payment Terms and Conditions.
• When purchasing via htm.nl, you have a statutory cooling-off period of 14 calendar days. This period begins on the day after purchase. You may cancel the purchase within this period. As soon as you notify us, the HTM 20% Discount will be suspended, and you will receive a refund of the amount paid. If you traveled using the discount during the cooling-off period, HTM may offset the difference between the reduced fare you paid and the regular fare. This adjustment will be charged retroactively via your payment method. The HTM 20% Discount takes effect on the start date you selected and has a minimum term of one month.

You pay a fixed amount each month, in advance of each billing period. The current rate can be found at htm.nl/tarieven

HTM may adjust rates annually within the framework of applicable regulations.

Traveling with this discount

• To use the HTM 20% Discount, you must check in and out with the card linked to the product on every trip; otherwise, you will not have a valid ticket.
• The discount applies exclusively to travel with HTM. The HTM 20% discount does not apply to other public transit companies. The discount is calculated based on the fare, which consists of a base fare and a per-kilometer charge. When using an age-based discount, the discount is applied to the already reduced fare.
• When transferring to or from another carrier, the discount does not apply to the portion of the trip with the other carrier. If you transfer within 35 minutes, you pay the base fare only once.
• If you have an HTM account, you’ll find an overview of your order, your trips, and your travel costs made using the HTM 20% Discount. If you travel with a public transit pass, the travel costs incurred will be deducted from your account balance. If you travel with a debit card, the travel costs will be deducted afterward from the bank account linked to the card with the HTM 20% Discount.
• If a check-out is missing for a trip you’ve taken, you can correct this via OVpay.nl. Once the missed check-out has been corrected, you’ll receive the corrected trip back, and you’ll also find it on the payment summary in your HTM account.

Cancellation

· You can still cancel the HTM 20% Discount before the start date. You will then receive a full refund of the purchase amount. For a recurring subscription, you can cancel effective the next monthly billing period. · HTM may terminate the subscription in the following situations, among others:

o In the event of non-payment

o In the event of fraud or misuse of the travel product

o if the card to which the product is linked is no longer valid

o if laws, regulations, or other circumstances make continuation reasonably impossible.

In these cases, HTM may block the travel product. Any outstanding amounts remain due. See the General Ordering and Payment Terms and Conditions for more information.

Changes to Product Terms

• HTM may amend these product terms and conditions. The most current version is published on htm.nl and is effective as of the date of publication.
• We recommend that you review the terms and conditions regularly.
• HTM may terminate the HTM 20% Discount immediately if, due to changed circumstances, HTM can no longer reasonably be expected to continue the program.

The following terms and conditions also apply to the HTM 20% Discount:

o the General Terms and Conditions for City and Regional Transportation;

o HTM’s General Ordering and Payment Terms and Conditions;

o the terms and conditions of the card used (public transit card or debit card);

o HTM’s Privacy Policy.
