HTM Regio Vrij

Regio Vrij is only available for travel with a debit card (OVpay). If you are traveling with a personal OV-chipkaart, choose the Regio subscription.

For a fixed amount, enjoy unlimited travel with HTM, RET, EBS, and ParkShuttle in a pre-selected area in the Rotterdam-The Hague region.

Who is it for?
Travelers who travel almost daily during a certain period, for example for work or school. 

Where can it be used?
It can be used in the selected area on EBS (bus), HTM (bus, tram), RET (bus, tram, metro), and Transdev (ParkShuttle). It is not valid on night buses or on other public transport companies.
Please note: Regio Vrij cannot yet be used if you make use of the free parking scheme for public transport users at enclosed, paid P+R areas. You also cannot yet travel with Regio Vrij on a RET neighborhood bus. In these situations, please continue to use a subscription on a public transport chip card for the time being.

How to use it?

   You purchase Regio Vrij for a period of one month.
-    The subscription can start on any day of the month.
-    In the Rotterdam The Hague region, you can choose from 21 areas (see the areas at the bottom of this page).
-    If you want to avoid having to pay extra, choose an area that covers your entire journey.
-    It is possible to purchase and use multiple areas at the same time.
Regio Vrij is personal and available at full and reduced subscription rates. The reduced subscription rate applies to users in the age categories Child (4 to 11 years) and Youth (12 to 18 years).
Regio Vrij can be used in combination with one debit card or one credit card, to which the user's name, date of birth, and passport photo have been added.

- Regio Vrij is non-transferable. You may not allow anyone else to use the card to which the subscription is linked.
The user is responsible for transferring Regio Vrij to the new card when replacing it, so that you can continue to travel with the subscription. Please be aware that banks can change your card on your mobile phone without informing you. Therefore, it is preferable to add Regio Vrij to your physical debit or credit card and not to your mobile phone.
- Always check in and out with the same card to which you have added Regio Vrij, otherwise you will not have a valid ticket and risk a fine.
- Always check in and out when changing trains.
- When checking in and out within the validity area of the subscription, a 100% discount is given on the fare.
- When checking in and out outside the validity area of the subscription, you pay an amount per kilometer plus the basic fare for the distance traveled outside the valid area. Visit www.htm.nl/tarieven for all current rates.

Fares

Payment
You pay for Regio Vrij immediately upon purchase. HTM has the right to terminate the subscription immediately and unilaterally, without judicial intervention, in the following cases:
-    If there is abuse or fraud involving Regio Vrij and/or your pass.

Changes to personal details
Please report any changes to your personal details immediately via your HTM account or at an HTM Service Desk.

Early/interim termination
You can cancel a purchased subscription before the start date. You will then receive a full refund of the purchase price. Once the monthly subscription has become valid, you cannot cancel or change it. Administration costs may be charged for cancellation.

Non-functioning pass
If your pass is blocked, lost, stolen, defective, or expired, you cannot use Regio Vrij. You will not be reimbursed for any additional travel costs. Always ensure that you have a non-blocked and functioning pass.
