27 Apr, 2024The centre of The Hague is closed for The Life I Live Festival on 26th of April from 18.00 hours. Trams 1, 15, 16, 17 and bus 22, 24, 28 have detours. From 19.00 hours tram 2, 3, 4 and 6 will not stop at Grote Markt stop.

Detours from 18.00 hours
After the links you will find the maps for the detours for tram 1, tram 15 and 16, tram 17, bus 22, 24 and 28.
Tram 2, 3, 4 and 6 will not stop at Grote Markt stop from 19.00 hours because of safety reasons. Please use Brouwersgracht or Spui stops.
Nightbusses from 01:00 until 05:00 hours
In the night from the 26th to the 27th of April 6 nightbusses will depart every half hour from Central Station busplatform. Because the centre is closed these busses will have different routes than the regular nightbusses. You will find the map of our nightbusses behind the link.
Tram 1 does not stop at Bierkade, Centrum, Kneuterdijk and Mauritskades stops. See the map.
Traveladvice
- Make use of bus 22, 24 or 28 between Central Station and Javastraat stops. These busses also stop at Mauritskade stop. Bus 24 also stops at Vredespaleis stop.
- Travel with tram 1 between Hollands Spoor and Kurhaus or Zwarte Pad and use the shuttle tram between Zware Pad, Kurhaus and Javastraat.
Tram 15 does not stop at Centrum, Buitenhof, Korte Voorhout and Central Station stops. And direction Nootdorp also not at Bierkade stop. See the map.
Traveladvice
- Tram 15 direction Central Station has a detour from Bierkade stop via Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis stop for CS/Schedeldoekshaven. From CS/Schedeldoekshaven tram 15 changes into tram 16 direction Wateringen.
- Tram 15 direction Nootdorp departs from CS/Schedeldoekshaven.
- From Bierkade or Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis for tram 15 direction Nootdorp take tram 9 for Station Hollands Spoor and transfer to tram 15 direction Nootdorp.
Tram 16 does not stop at Central Station stop and direction Wateringen also not at Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis and Bierkade stops. See the map.
Traveladvice
- Tram 16 direction Wateringen departs from CS/Schedeldoekshaven stop.
- From Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis or Bierkade stop travel with tram 9 to Station Hollands Spoor and change there to tram 16 direction Wateringen.
Tram 17 does not stop at Hollands Spoor, Rijswijkseplein, Weteringplein, Centraal Station, Korte Voorhout, Buitenhof, Gravenstraat, Torenstraat, Elandstraat and Zoutmanstraat stops. See the map.
Tram 17 has temporary stops at Jacob Catsstraat, Wouwermanstraat, Hoefkade, Haagse Markt, Delftselaan, Monstersestraat, Elandstraat (tram 3) and Van Speijkstraat (tram 3) stops.
Traveladvice
- For Hollands Spoor, Rijswijkseplein, Weteringplein, Central Station and Korte Voorhout make use of tram 1 via its detour. Transfer at Leeghwaterplein stop.
- For Gravenstraat, Torenstraat, Elandstraat and Zoutmanstraat make use of tram 3 between Centraal Station and Van Speijkstraat stop. Transfer at Elandstraat or Van Speijkstraat stop from tram 3.
Bus 22, 24 and 28 have a detour between Central Station and Mauritskade stops and will not stop at Nieuwe Haven, Centrum and Kneuterdijk stops. See the map.

- For Nieuwe Haven and Centrum make use of the Central Station stop.
- For Kneuterdijk make use of Mauritskade stop.
Nightbusses from 01:00 until 05:00 hours every half hour via 6 routes.
A ticket fot the nightbus costs 6,50 euro. Use your debit card, credit card or mobile divice to check in and -out. Or buy tickets in advance in the HTMapp.
Because the centre of The Hague is closed the nightbusse have a detour. Because of The Life I Live Festival the nightbusses ride more often than the regular services of the nightbusses in the night of 27th on the 28th of April.
- Nightbus 1 is a ring line from Central Station busplatform via Mariahoeve, Scheveningen, Statenkwartier back to Central Station busplatform.
- Nightbus 2 is a ring line from Central Station busplatform via Voorburg, Leidschendam, Voorschoten, Wassenaar back to Central Station busplatform.
- Nightbus 3 is a ring line from Central Station busplatform via Valkenbos, Kijkduin, Madestein and Zichtenburg back to Central Station busplatform.
- Nachtbus 4 is a ring line from Central Station busplatform via Leyweg, Wateringen and Rijswijk back to Central Station busplatform.
- Nachtbus 5 is a ring line from Central Station busplatform via Rijswijk, Nootdorp, Pijnacker and Delft back to Central Station busplatform.
- Nachtbus 6 is a ring line from Central Station busplatform via Leidschenveen and Zoetermeer back to Central Station busplatform.
Tram 15 and bus 26 run a different route due to roadworks (update 23 april)

Tram 15 runs a different route until Sun 12 May and stops at temporary stops.
Bus 26 runs a different route until Tue 7 May and stops at temporary stops. Bus 26 does not stop at normal stop Goudriaankade until Fri 17 May, but stops at a temporary stop next to the tram and bus stop Goudriaankade.

Startingpoint Kijkduin temporary moved for buses 24 and 26

08 Jun, 2024Due to works the terminus and starting point Kijkduin for buses 24 and 26 will be moved to Kijkduinsesestraat from Monday 4 March until Sunday 2 June.
Buses 24 and 26 will run via Kijkduinsestraat towards Deltaplein. The bus terminus is halfway up the hill.
- The starting point of the buses is situated close to Zandvoortselaan. Here you can take bus 24 to Station Mariahoeve and bus 26 to Station Voorburg.
- From the terminus/starting point you can easily walk to the shopping promenade (appr. 100 m.)
HTM renovates the stairs of tram stop Centrum West in Zoetermeer

30 Aug, 2024HTM and Zoetermeer renovate the stairs and the bicycle bridge of tram stop Centrum West .
The tram stop remains accessible during the works. The works last until August 2024.

Bus 26 will have a diversion around the De la Reyweg until Oct 2024 due to work.

- Tram 9 runs from Vrederust to Madurodam. There is an extra bus that runs the route of tram 9 between Madurodam and Scheveningen. This bus stops at a temporary stop Madurodam next to the Plesmanweg and Nieuwe Parklaan roundabout.
- Take bus 22 at the earlier or later stops Nassauplein or Plesmanweg.
Bus 22 to Duindorp runs a different route from Mon 6 May

- Bus 22 to Duindorp stops at temporary stops Scheveningseweg and Prins Mauritsplein (stops of bus 21). And stops at a temporary stop Frederik Hendriklaan on the Statenlaan.
- Bus 22 to Rijswijk runs the normal route and stops at the stops Duinstraat en Prins Willemstraat. Switch at the Statenlaan busstop.
- Tram 1 stops in both directions at the Duinstraat stop within walking distance from the busstop Prins Willemstraat. Switch from bus 22 to tram 1 at the stops Centrum to Javastraat.
- Tram 11 stops in both directions at the Duinstraat stop within walking distance from the busstop Duinstraat. Switch from bus 22 to tram 11 at the stops Station HS or Statenlaan.
